According to Florida Politics in an article published earlier today, President Donald Trump will be back in the Sunshine State “very soon”, following his swift recovery from COVID-19. As we reported last week, he was scheduled to hold a rally in Sanford, Florida. Many might remember Sanford as the Central Florida city that became the birthplace of the Black Lives Matter movement after the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin in 2019 due to an act of self-defense from Sanford resident George Zimmerman.
President Donald Trump isn’t going to let a little thing like COVID-19 recovery keep him away from Florida.
That was the expectation conveyed by Gov. Ron DeSantis Tuesday in the Villages when he answered a reporter’s question with assurances that Trump would be back to greet his supporters.
“I don’t have any firm details but if I were a betting man, I’d bet you’ll see him very soon in Florida,” DeSantis said.
With the election less than 30 days away and America less than 10 days away from the next planned presidential debate in Miami, both the Trump and Biden campaigns need to spend as much time in the must-win swing state of Florida if they hope on being victorious on November 3rd. Trump confirmed earlier today that he still intends on participating in the debate, less than a day after Democrat nominee Joe Biden also confirmed he intended on going forward with the 2nd of three planned debates.
